OK you made me go out and check the freezer.
Low and behold, the F4B is gone.  Seems I remember
an original MKIA owner borrowing it while he had his 
rebuilt. I should go over to his house and get it back.

I misspoke as the 4bbl base plate with PCV nipple
is on the shelf.  The new Holley 1850 (600 CFM) 
had a port in the base for the PCV.  I ran a new
original PCV hose (got it from Ford) from the
original brass PCV valve to the port, and that
was that.  My steel hood fit just fine and the
LAT hood really clears.

I think there is enough room with the LAT hood
to install a 4bbl water base plate (just like the
2bbl stock base plate) to see if that will help
keeping the carb from boiling when very hot.

I'll do that after I have replaced the front clip.
