Tom,

I would think that your TAC information about "as early as possible" is
to allow any repairs that might remove any Tiger specific hardware would
yet to have occurred, and the certification easier. Not a requirement,
just a caution about an over-enthusiastic repair person removing the
wrong thing, making it difficult to examine.

As to the rivets. A TAC certificate does NOT require "original rivets".
However, it is noted on the certificate if the rivets were replaced. Now
a Concour judge might make a big deal on whether the rivets were
original, and cut some points off, and a DMV might take a dim view, but
it does not influence a TAC.

When does replacements become too much? Probably when the Tiger chassis
parts are replaced, making it impossible to determine that this car came
from Jensen as a Tiger.

Certainly fender repair is not one of them, front or rear.

NOT a TAC inspector,

Steve
