Yes the adapters are available from Ford.
The dealer I went to did not have a listing for a 64 260.
So I told him to use what he could find, I figgered they would all be the
same.
The part he dug out did not look like the ones pictured in Monroe's "How to
rebuild a Small block Ford" It had two different diameters of thread and a
hex recess for an Allen wrench. The originals used a really large size Hex.
Really thin and easy to round off.
I ended up aborting this effort because I have headers and most of the
adapters don't fit.
