I guess it is a testimony to age in which we live and its associated
values that we at one level expect to able to drive and have available
easily, spares for cars that are in many cases over 40 years old and we
also expect to be able to do all of this over the Internet.

If it's any concillation to Rick and Curt (who I personally have only
ever dealt with once), the British suppliers of parts here in the UK are
much the same. They are for the most parts little guys from the old
school running one man bands which they do for the love of it. Like me,
they're passionate about Alpine cars and to quote Jamie Wyhatt of
Sunbeam Supreme: "I just can't be bothered with any new fangled
technology like the Internet!"

So, Rick is not alone. :-)

|I have dealt with Curt and Rick for a number of years, and they have
|become like Old Friends. Call in the order, and I wind up
|talking about
|Tiger Stuff, and getting more info than I had originally
|called for, in
|the way of parts.
|
|Our current McParts auto sources, with the McDonalds rejects
|behind the
|counter, is no substitute for someone who knows these rare cars, can
|answer the questions with knowledge, and has the rare parts generally
|only available from them, at very reasonable prices.
|
|The icing on the cake, is that they know who you are, and care
|about you
|and your car.
|
|It's a time warp, and a very nice one at that.
|
|Thanks Curt and Rick.
