Hi Dave:
If you're okay with having the alternator located down a little lower (I
think--haven't tried it yet myself), Scott Drake makes a repro bracket
set like the one on the Falcon (?) or maybe it was the Fairlane.
Stamped steel (chromed), so it basically mounts in the stock Ford
location.
I think you'll also need a spacer for the alternator.
The part number for the bracket kit is C5ZZ-10145/51-K. It has (2)
pieces--a triangular mounting plate and the slotted adjustment bar. As
I said, I think you'll need a spacer too.
I have a GM 1-wire alternator, so I'm not sure this kit will fit without
some modification--I'm a little ways away from finding out, though I
have the kit in front of me as I write this. Can't remember how much it
cost, but it can't have been much--I'm on a fairly tight budget so
evidently I wasn't THAT concerned about potentially 'wasted' money.
Scott Drake doesn't sell directly to the public, but I got mine at an
aftermarket Mustang shop and I believe that a number of shops carry his
bracket kit.

Best Regards
David Sosna
