Now even though Velcro was invented in 1948, and not perfected (according to
the story) until 1956, that doesn't mean that British sportscar technology
would have embraced it in the mid-sixties. Remember that the Alpine was one
of the first British sportscars to "feature" wind-up side windows rather
than plastic curtains ;).
