STOA Tiger Tracks covered the removal from bottom in detail in the March 2005 
Tiger Tracks, including 18 wonderful color pictures.  Their removal time was 1 
hour and 45 minutes.  It had good hints on things you might overlook.  The 
removal out the top is described in the Tiger shop manual section B (I think 
this is online).  That procedure lists 37 steps.  So it would appear the STOA 
method is 19 steps easier ; )  
Having the cross member out is a perfect opportunity to inspect for fatigue as 
described in the Tech Tips.
