Most race organizations require a battery cut-off mechanical switch,
with the mount allowing the mechanical switch mounted on the hood, and
able to cut-off electricity to a burning race car.
This are available with removable keys, and can be mounted along the
battery cable, underneath the car bottom. The "T" handle is removable,
and replaces in the hidden switch, perhaps under the floor carpet. A
small switch, in line with the electric fuel pump, can disable a car in
a few miles when it runs out of gas. Since there is no noise, it will
be difficult to pinpoint cause of stoppage. Running the carb dry, after
switch cut-off, will prevent the car from running at all - with some
small hit to gas mileage.
Both a fuel pump cut off, and a battery disconnect hidden switch, will
stop anything except a tow truck.
