The speed bleeders are indeed a check valve, allowing one person to bleed
the brakes as Steve says.
I bought five pieces - two for the front, two for the back and one for the
clutch slave. Be careful, according to the guy who sold them the fronts and
backs are different.
I haven't put the brake ones on yet but the clutch slave unit works great,
especially considering the weird way you have to contort your hand to get to
the bleeder.
