I had one for a while. It's probably out in the shed. I went back to a
rebuilt stock unit for a year and then eventually converted to an electric
fuel pump.
You might want to consider installing one of the original style pumps if
you can find one. I think the Big three (TRF, certainly) were selling the
ones with the priming lever again recently.
I know of plenty of folks that have either had the pivot rod fall out or
the diaphram fail (and fill the sump with petrol!) on the stock fuel pump.
