I can't answer your question, but I can refer you to some useful info on the
web.  Head to the Buckeye Triumphs site at www.buckeyetriumphs.org.  Go to
the technical section and review the material under Carburettor Overhaul
Part II.  Nelson addresses the valve in some detail.
