Got the frame back from sand blasting and it looks like there is some
rust in the frame under the passengers bottom cruciform. There is a
small hole near the front of the cruciform, and a larger area of raised
or bubbled cruciform along the path of the frame. Looks similar to
Richard Seaton's situation:

The plan is to remove the cruciform, cut out the rust in the bottom of
the frame section, weld a new replacement plate along the bottom of the
frame section, and then replace a new bottom cruciform. This appears to
be what Richard Seaton's web site shows. The entire frame section along
the cruciform will not be replaced. The upper cruciform will not be
removed. There is no evidence of rust there. The trailing arms appear to
be sound.
I see that Moss sells replacement cruciforms. I will call autorust.com
also. Maybe TRF too. Any other ideas for frame repair sections?
Does this repair approach sound reasonable?
Also, after seeing this problem with the cruciform, I'm thinking of
welding additional plates along the bottom of the trailing arm frame
sections just in case, even though there is no evidence of rot there.
