I rebuilt my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and replaced the
hose that connects them about 1500 miles ago. Everything has worked fine
until
a few days ago. The clutch pedal sometimes goes down a little farther than
normal before the clutch opens. If I put very light preasure on the clutch
pedal, it will gradually go to the floor without opening the clutch. But if I
press it normally, it will USUALLY open normally. There are no external leaks.
The fluid level is not low, so there is no loss of fluid. Does this sound like
an internal leak in the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder? Is
there a way to tell which one needs repair without guessing?
