I want to add a hearty amen to your comment on the flex lines. I
bought my car
drove it home, and then discovered that the front brake hoses had
completely
failed.
The hoses are double walled, with a reinforcing fabric between
the two walls.
The outer wall had completely failed, as had the reinforcing fabric,
which was in
tatters. Only the inner wall was intact, and it would balloon every time
the brakes
were used. Step on the brakes too hard, and BANG! no more brakes.
So replace those 30 year old brakes hoses kiddies. Your family
and car will
thank you for it.
