Ahhh, but you DON'T go to Mod for that anymore, you go to STU - where you
compete against other turbo Neons, Hondas, Talons, and other such riceburners.

That's the beauty of STU. Have all the fun with your street-driven car you want,
without being classed up with the purpose-built, tube-frame, 1500lb monsters.

Check out http://www.wincom.net/trog/stu/ for more information.

Then Jim Crider, his Cobra IRS pride injured, did say:

>Dennis, any fear a Cobra IRS owner might have at the approach of a hairdried

>scattering shrapnel all over the road he's driving on...

Bah. The Neon motor turns out to be stout enough to take up to about 8lbs with a
reasonable intercooler. The limiting factor appears to be the high (for a turbo
car) compression, and pistons/rods that nobody has been brave enough to risk -
so nobody really knows how much boost they'll stand.

8lbs is pretty good, and the higher compression should really help out low-end
throttle response and off-boost lag - just what you want in an autocross car. A
Turbo Neon, with a good suspension (which means not-the-Daddio-setup shocks -
his setup is designed to dynamically lower & stiffen the car, which you don't
need in an car where springs are open. I'd bet a plain old set of Koni Sports
would work just fine) would be a _killer_ STU car.

Imagine, Eric, being faster than Daddio... King of All Neons... STU is calling
you Eric...

Hear it? "Eric...", it's saying, "turbocharge me! Make me go faaaaaster!"

Well, that's an entirely different kettle of fish. :)
