That is an excellent idea. However, there is one for sale on racecarads.com
witha turbo fiat motor and it isnt much $$$
You need to check it out before you start your own project.

Hi. as I have toasted the tranny in 1994 Impala SS after only 38K
miles. I am considering looking for an autocross car/cart. I hate to
stop racing the impala but as it is wife.coms transportation and soon
to be a big baby carriage I cant risk torching any more bands, sprags or
clutches. especially at 1000 clams.
I was thinking of buying or finding an older rolling chassis from Malibu
Grand Prix. live rear axle, I/S inthe front 4 wheel disc brakes. i
would then shoehorn a small inline4 with and auto tranny or a large
inline four motorcycle engine with sequential gearbox.. normally they
run 25 horse Briggs with centrifugal clutch : (
Anybody know anybody at Malibu Grand Prix? is this a good idea? can
the chassis handle the extra HP?
