Yes, but SM allows both Stock and SP mods. If you start with an SS
legal car, apply all SP mods, and start your SM project from there, you'd
have a legal weld-in roll cage. At least, as the rules are written now.....

 If you build a car to SS regs, the WHOLE CAR must conform to those
rules. You can't mix and match between SS and the Solo II rules.
