Ain't so. This has been an ongoing rumor for months, based on a magazine
clip that speculated the Prelude and Integra would be merged. Another
popular one is that the Prelude will transition to an S2000-based RWD
platform -- there's no evidence to support that one, either.
The current Prelude doesn't hit the end of it's lifecycle until at least
2001 (and maybe another year beyond) -- after that, anything could happen.
Every generation of Prelude has introduced something unusual, so there's no
telling what Honda will do with it next.
For those of you who want to keep up with the rumors, keep an eye on
www.hondaprelude.com -- we normally get 'em early.
Justin -- the 4th gen (92-96) cars look *lots* better, and the chassis is
almost as stiff. An early 4th gen could be a straight swap for that
Saturn.... :)
