My Civic has 200,275 miles on it and it was good enough to win a Pro Solo
championship, BUT here is an idea of what I have spent on what is on the car
now....

Car with 93,000 miles (in 1997)- $5000

Used Transmission- $300
  rebuild- $400
Used Engine- $500
rebuilt- $1000 (if you are lucky)
Total brake overhaul(rotors, master cylender, steal lines, Carbotech pads)-
$1000
fresh bushings- $450
Replacement splash guards and wheel liners- $150
Koni Shocks (single adjustable) $500
K+N and Glass pack- $100
Compu-motive wheels- $750
total- $5250

So I spent more on the car than I did for the car. I will say that it was a
lot of fun as it was when I got it. I highly recommend the Civic Si as a
racer and a daily driver. if it is in good shape pick it up, you will have
some cost to keep it a competitive racer, but it is a great car.

if you need help setting it up... drop me a line
