There has been a correlation study done similar to
this subject. It has been done by a guy named Jim
Snelling at Willow Springs Raceway and orange County
Fair Grounds over a 12? year period and covers many
hundreds of folks. He has shown a 75% reduction rate
in accidents and tickets for educated drivers vs the
general population. There is an 85% reduction for
under 25 age drivers. This was reported on by Pat
Bedard in the July 1999 Car and Driver. It has been a
tough sell to the insurance, education and police
industries that feel they do not need such information
to make their decisions.
