You're missing my point.
Plattsburg is near *NOTHING*. It's near *NOBODY*. Yes, Seattle is far
from a lot of places, but those places to which you are travelling are
local sites for some sizable population. There is no local sizable
population within 2.5 hours of Plattsburg NY.
