steering question

Thanks to all for the info on my steering tube question. The washers, it
turns out, are about an inch in diameter and have indents pressed into the
outer edges at three places. The indents form small barbs on one side of the
washer, which I suppose will help to keep the steering tube centered when I
tighten it up. Found them in a dixie cup full of rubber parts!
