Hood is a big electrical noise shield. Common to find a ground strap to

a hood mounting bolt for that reason.  Corvette's have a heck of a time
keeping the electrical noise down!

Good tip! Yep, a little corrosion at a ground connection will allow
the "ground" to act like an attena. Ditto, something Corvette engineers
kept trying to figure out for a while!

Getting old... precable days I remembered when some of the local
hotrods (solid ignition wire) would take out the TV reception. Seem
to recall telling my Sis not to date one fellow... he ruined the
TV reception! (~1968).

Funny the odd things you remember (Red Skeleton Show ???? Dad's favorite).
