I agree with Paul. Lead is not the way to go anymore. The paint on my car
shows where the lead is as the paint reacted with the lead, especially on
the rear panel where there's plenty of it (my car was a bare metal respray).

I spoke with a restorer recently and he said they take all the lead out and
use a bondo type filler instead.

I've used POR 15 paint with great success to stop rust, especially the
silver paint which is better than black for that purpose.
