Likewise. I'm not a veteran but am nonetheless very proud of both parents,
who were. My (late) father served primarily at Fort Niagara (NY) during World
War II. Ironically, my mom probably saw more of the world and more of WWII as
a 2nd Lieutenant in the WAVES, with part of that service in or near Pearl
Harbor around '43-'44. She was even honored about five years ago as the Grand
Marshall in our local Memorial Day parade/ceremony.
