Chuck, I have one on my TR6 and screwed around with it quite a bit. I tried
modifying a TR6 lever and installing a knob from a MGB. That didn't work
well at all. I then located a Stag lever and knob. It works great as the
transmission housings are the same except the lever is longer. I think a
Saloon lever will work also but is even longer yet. The Spitfire knob will
work, but the lever will not.
Jeff Quick has a switch mounted on the side of the lever and uses a heater
switch I believe.
The Stag levers are hard to locate, and if you wanted to look at the one I
have, we can do that.
I located the drawing for the PI linkage conversion if you want me to send
that to you.
