Would the brake shoe compound have an influence on the drum longevity?

My take-away is the Centric aftermarket drums are not up to the task on my car.
I have yet to weigh my TR250, but I'm confident despite best efforts the car is
not a lightweight. Neither is the driver! While the aftermarket drums are
working for some, I'm not going down that road again.

I appreciate everybody's comments, and hope everybody continues to look closely
at their drums (especially the aftermarket ones) while going through their
pre-race rituals!

Cheers
