Mine has not been on the road for over 20 years but as I remember, you are
right. The adjustable column just adjusts from too close to much too close and
I always had mine as far away (close to the dash) as possible. I do not think
I would go to the expense and trouble to convert it unless you really want it
to match the Heritage certificate and then it would only matter if you are
going for a 100 point car (anybody with more knowledge feel free to chuime in
