I think the problem is that new fluid is a much better penetrant than
the old stuff and it just works its way through old seals. Unfortunately
the real problem is that the fluid should have been changed regularly
from day one and, according to the recommendations in the front of the
brake section of the workshop manual all seals in the brake system
should be changed every 3 years!!!

Well, you hit the nail on the head. After removing 2 screws the brake

poured out of the booster! What a bummer! Should have left my 5 year old
fluid in there(guessing when PO replaced it last). Why does this happen
on
a simple brake bleeding? How does it get in the system when you have not
bled in a long time?Is this booster shot? Is my best option to buy a
replacement or rebuild?
