I've used the same Pertronix in my BJ8 for 6 years---and this included 6000
miles through Europe in 2001.  Have used on in my E-Type for 5 years----0
problems.  I wouldn't leave home w/o it.  I do carry a spare in both cars.
but the way the original is holding up, the spare may rust out b/4 I have
to use it.

Bottom line----love it.
