Hi Rick,

It's my understanding that some 2600cc C series engine blocks can tolerate a 
2912cc overbore (= std 3000) as a maximum overbore, but you need to have the 
'right' block. Weren't there two 2600cc block types - one 'smooth' and one 
with external ribbing?

I think you can bore the later 2660cc block with external ribbing, to 
2912cc.

You can bore the earlier blocks too - its just that you can't use them after 
you've bored them, because 90 % of the time the new bore will be inside the 
water jacket.

So - either way - this will be the last overbore the block ever gets....

I'd really do some research before you try this.
