As the former owner of R & R Paint Supply, Inc (my son now owns the
business). I personally formulated the Healey Ice Blue from a BT7 and BJ8
that I
owned years ago. This particular color has gone through many concours
judgings
over the years and no one has ever lost any points due to color mismatch.
Regarding the dark color on the frame, anyone with any knowledge of using a
spray gun should know that by adjusting the air pressure at the gun, distance
from the frame, adjusting the fluid output and etc you can come up with many
different shades of the same color. I know, I have demonstrated this fact
many
times. I resent the fact that you feel you are getting ripped off. I spent
many hours and wasted much material formulating this color along with many
other Healey colors. We used to send out paint cards. We used to sell pints
and quarts of this color and the other Healey colors to people who wanted to
see what the colors looked like. Never heard from these people again. I'm
not stupid. These yo-yo's would take our samples to their local paint store
and get a half ass match and they were happy as a lark. Look at all the
money they saved.NO MORE. TIMES HAVE CHANGED We are in business to sell
automotive paint and make a profit, not give out freebies. Have fun.
