Josef, I really like primrose on cars, especially on British ones, but with all
due respect, not on a Healey. It takes all of the roughness and fierceness out
of our cars, where they stand for. Just MHO. Stay with oew, best with red
interior. That was my second choice, after blue over oew with blue interior.

Betreff: Heritage Certificate vs Originality

I am in the process of restoring a 1962 BT7 tricarb which was originally
painted OEW. I try to keep everything as close as possible to the original
specs with one exception. I decided together with my wife to do the car in
primrose, as this is our favourite Healey colour. We have seen this colour
on our best friends Healey and fall in love with it. If there are 100
Healeys together in a car park, the primrose one stands out of all others.
And it is a rare colour, not seen that often.
Now the discussion about originality brought me back to think about our
decision as I still can change my mind. To say my wife's are fixed. But this
is one of the mayor decisions, I am allowed to do. So I would like to hear
the pros and cons for primrose or for going with OEW as the other
possibility.
Many thanks for any comments,

Josef Eckert,
