Is that Imperial gallon or the deflated US gallon?
For as long as I remember all I have managed out of the mine is 17 mpg
(Imperial) normal driving and that increases to 21 while touring. That's
a 2.6 litre taken out to 2.9. Then again my wife always says I drive too
fast.

My '65 BJ 8 Ph. 1 consumes way too much fuel, I am getting aroung 13
mpg. The ignition system including timing is checked and basically new,
the carbs are reconditioned. Any ideas?
