in central MA, in the city of Worcester they run the street rod summer
nationals, and for the entire
July 4th weekend, street rods are welcomed by the city to run open headers.
The city holds flame
throwing demos and burnout shows right on the local street. This is followed
by a great 2-day show
at Green Hill park. I heard that total registration for this years event went
past 4000 rods. Plan
on checking it out if you visit New England on next years July 4th. Last year
we got to chat with
Sam Memmolo (Shadetree Mechanic) and this year Gene Winfield (CA hot rodder).
