<< Whats the easiest way to install the windshield on a deluxe cab (with the
stainless trim) on a '53? Do you put the glass in the rubber first, then
put it in the cab, then install the stainless? I noticed the stainless has
a lip on the end that goes into the rubber. Seems like it would be hard to
push in once the glass is in it and its in the cab. Is regular hand soap a
 good lube?

hey, you first do the glass then the surround trim and when everything is all
set ,you slip a cord deep into the last groove all the way around each half
with a popsicle stick, then you carry the whole works over to the truck..now i
use a spray bottle with water and a bit of a soap to lube the window lip and
rubber .have your help push the glass from the outside wile you pull the cord
from the inside until the rubber is over the lip.then you do the other side
and install the center strip......you need help for this and a lot of
patience......the second time i did this it was a lot easier.i looked like a
pro.the difference was in the rubber. i had bought made in china or Taiwan
rubber from the" truck shop "but my neighbor bought a different vendors
softer rubber......what a difference it made....goodluck ...steve
