I have a friend who has a '55 Chevy car rear end under his Art Deco Chevy.
Of course that's a five-lug axle. I had a '61 Olds rear under the '41 I had
30 years ago. The Olds was a convertible, and I'd sure like to have it back
now...

I don't think 60's or 70's full size pickups would be the right choice.
Those axles are wide under a Advance Design truck, which is wider than your
Art Deco. Also, starting in '71 they are five-lug with a 5 x 5 bolt
pattern.

I'm wondering if the rear from a Task Force truck might not be a better fit.

I`m sure at some point this has been covered,But what rear end will fit
under
my 41 and still have the 6 lugs?
Iv`e been told some of the early to late 60`s chevy trucks may have one that
will work?
 Thanks guys!!
