Just out of compleate coincidence I was reading in the TSSC an artical
about putting a hall effect (magnetic) ignition into a vittess.

With standad coil the gaps went from 25 to 30-32 thou.

There were several notes made...
Mechanical ignition systems run at 26-27kV..
The electronic ignition system featured (Ignitor) runs at 30kV and 35
with silicone leads and a sport coil. Lucas DLB105 or DLB110 latter
for 6v Spitfire circuet.

It was also notes that they could advance the ignition more in the
vittess after getting the extra power with running the same chance of
pinking. from 10 to 12 deg BTDC.
