Dan,
The numbers are cool...but how about showing us the equation?

Listers,

I am hiding from my wife to get out of yard work, so I have some spare time
on
my hands.

There is an equation that predicts quarter mile perfomance based on weight
and
horsepower. It is an emperical equation, and has consistanly been shown to
be
accurate to plus or minus 5 percent. Its accuracy depends on two factors:

Driver's skill: If the reaction time is slow, the engine bogs, or the tires
spin, the equation doesn't work.

Traction: If the tires can't hook up to the track, the numbers are off.
Even
6,000 HP (typical of a top dragster) won't get it if the tires spin or the
driver has to feather the throttle to prevent wheel spin..

The numbers?

Nigel: 13.72 seconds (not bad!)

Me: 11.56 seconds

Ro-Spit: 11.20 seconds

If I were to remove the bumpers, carpets, etc, and reduce the weight by 250
pounds, my quarter mile time becomes 11.16 seconds.

I've been caught, so it's back to work!
