I am running Yokohama A509 185 60HR13 tires on my '74 Spit, but I am not
qualified to comment because I have a GT6 engine in it which weighs down
the front significantly. I have had a couple MINOR scrapes but more from
"bottoming out" of the spit springs than a clearance problem. That size
tire just barely fits the wheels, so don't try going any larger!
