Greg,
I used some fiberglass rope that is used for sealing fireplace doors to
insulate my fuel line.  I threaded the line through the center of the
woven rope and it works (and looks) fine.  If you look closely at the
lower right hand shot, you can see what I did in the pictures on the
following web page:
