same here... crappy thin metal rings... could bend them with three fingers
of one hand. Cut 'em out and used the old metal shells. Works fine!

I did the same thing as alan. Bent the crap out of those new felt seal rings
trying to get them seated. Gave-up and used the new felt (cut out of bent up
ring) into the original metal seals.
Seems to be okay. (?)
