I have a 76 spit 1500 that leaks oil from behind the head. I have removed the
rocker assy, re-torqued the head (went to 60 ft-lbs) and re-adjusted the
valves, 7-8 had to be loosened. I thought that I had the problem fixed
because it dried up significantly for a week or so. But it is back marking
it's territory again, and a fairly significant leak. I am getting ready to
pull the head, check the head and block for flatness and replace the head
gasket. Any experience you can offer with this oil leak will be appreciated.
