Paint colour

I have a very limited budget so no new panels, I will treat the rust as best
as I can and deal with all the bumps/dents, but I know some of them I will
not be able to treat due to their location.

So I need a paint colour that will hide these flaws.

Will a dark colour hide them better than a light colour?
