Developing a relationship with the tester is never a bad thing. I just had 
Freddy in for his annual "sticker" as we call it in Maine - I go to a local 
Sears store with an auto department. They always give my cars to the same 
guy, as he is the only one old enough to actually know how to operate the 
lights and horn on old British and French cars. ;-) Anyway, this time he 
took me aside and told me that I had a slight exhaust leak at the last 
clamp on the new system, but that he would pass me anyway as he knew what 
good care I take of my cars. So I drove home and tightened things up.
