Tym,

I put a 289 in my '66 Tiger many years ago (in about '76). I got a
junk-yard 6-bolt bell housing and modified it to accept the bolt pattern
for the 260's top loader. Instead of just threading holes into the
Aluminum casting, I put stainless steel inserts in. It worked fine.

The 289 is now gone and I have rebuilt the 260 to go back in. Somewhere
in the shuffle the original clutch slave cylinder bracket got lost (the
slave cylinder brackets are unique because they mate to the bellhousing
bolt pattern). I have had a bracket made up, but I would like an
original one if I can find it. If you have the original bracket for
your '66 Tiger, I would consider a one-for-one swap: Your slave
cylinder mounting bracket for my modified 6-bolt bell housing.

What do you say?
