Does anyone know where to get the air fitting that screws into the exhaust
manifold (to carry air from the smog pump to the exhaust manifold)? Car is
'77 spit.
I was told that it is a standard pipe fitting but it is not (the smog pump
one-way valve end IS, the manifold end IS NOT). The threated hole is 3/4"
24 TPI. If I had a male fitting with this and NPT threads on the other end, I
would be in business. Any ideas?

The fitting that screws into the manifold is a "compression" fitting.
It is normally on the end of about 2 feet of metal tubing.
The threads inside the exhaust manifold are easily and often bodged
and /or corroded.
You will toast your check valve if you try to attach it "directly" to the
the exhaust manifold via a short fitting/adapter. Try to incorporate a
length
of tubing to lose some of the manifold heat. Originally the check valve
was on the opposite side of the motor from the manifolds. This
tubing is the "no longer available" part from VB TRF etc.
