Subject: Spit Rear Suspension
Andrew,
Am getting ready to hand the rear suspension from a 70/71 Spit into
the chasis of a 65(or so) Austin Sprite. Why, because it's there!
Want IRS in Sprite. Is shortening axles as simple as lopping them off
on splined end and recutting splines to re-install flanges? Also,
want to go to transverse spring system to maintain IRS have you ever
had spring shortened? Do you know if the bush eye on the springs can
be cut off and re-curled to obtain proper length?
