I had the same thing happen to one of my TR-6's.  The problem was the clutch
hydraulics.  The master cylinder was the culprit.  I rebuilt it a couple of
times but the problem persisted.  I replaced the master cylinder and the
problem went away...and has stayed away for almost two years.
