Gentlemen, last july i became the proud owner of a 1976 tr6 that had
been the property
of a relative. the car is in sound shape overall but has sat out in the
south louisiana weather for some time and is in need of some cosmetic
and safety-related work. well, after my wife had set aside enough money
for me to get some work done, i
took it in to get the hydraulics for brakes and clutch rebuilt. that's
the good news!
the bad news is that the battery is so bad that the car had to be
jump-started to get
it going and on the way home, the top rediator hose blew! i couldn't
stop because i
knew i couldn't re-start it! nothing like the smell of antifreeze turned
to steam to
make you feel like a winner! every stop light, all those concerned,
caring, motorists
yelling "hey, your car's on fire!". jeeezzzz!
after telling my wife what a new battery and hoses will cost, she
wanted to know
what the car is worth if we don't fix it! DO ANY OF YOU GUYS OUT THERE
HAVE A GARAGE
I CAN HIDE THE CAR SO MY WIFE DOESN'T SELL IT OUT FROM UNDER ME?
HELP!!!!
